I appeared on the Martha Stewart Show a few years back to teach Martha how to glitter roses for a beautiful bouquet. There are three techniques: one that covers the whole rose in a thin coating of shimmer, a tiny tear drop effect that puts a little glistening dew-like drop on the petals, and a third that adds hints of twinkle to the tips of the blooms. I love how this adds a little something extra to an already beautiful bouquet. Click to see the show and get even more Valentine's video how-tos.

Wake up on the right side of the bed with a sunny breakfast with a Valentine's Day twist. I love how simple this heart-shaped toast is to make; perfect, even for a busy workday.
For a special romantic dinner, make the classic Italian dish Cacio e Pepe. Hearty red wines, rich desserts, and warm scents always remind me of Valentine's day. Pair this classic Italian dish with a classic Italian wine, such as Chianti.
No meal is complete without dessert and chocolate is an obvious choice on Valentine's day. These strawberry-ice-cream-filled chocolate cookies are a playful twist on chocolate covered strawberries.
