Letter Writing Made Easy
Posted by Kevin SharkeyDerek Blasberg, editor at large of Harper's Bazaar magazine, is a man after my own heart. He's an etiquette guru and a firm believer in the superiority of a hand-written letter. Handwritten Letter Helpers, his new collaboration with fashion powerhouse Opening Ceremony, charms me to no end (and also made me laugh).
Blasberg, whose book, Classy: Exceptional Advice for the Modern Lady, was a New York Times bestseller, created a collection of eight fill-in-the-blank letters suited to a range of occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, thank you's) that can be personalized by sender. Think of them as very proper, grown-up versions of Mad Libs.
I think it's a delightful idea -- and would love to pass a few out to the email and Facebook addicts in my life!
