Postcard from Tokyo: Part II

Posted by

While we were in Japan we visited Tsukiji Market, a large wholesale market for fish, fruits, and vegetables in central Tokyo. It is best known as one of the world's largest fish markets, handling over 2,000 tons of seafood per day. Take a look at some of the pictures I snapped while Martha and I were there.

On Trend: Gourmet Marshmallows

Posted by

Marshmallows have been named one of the hottest food trends of 2012 and gourmet marshmallows are the specialty of the bakers at New York's bite-size dessert experts, Three Tarts Bakery & Boutique. As you may know, my affinity for all things sweet is no secret around the office, so Kelly Alfieri, Digital Editorial Director at Living brought some Three Tarts marshmallows in for me to try. The sweet little clouds come in unique flavors, such as vanilla, mango, raspberry, strawberry-basil, passion fruit and yuzu. And according to Maria D'Urso, one of the owners at Three Tarts, “Marshmallows are the new cupcakes.” I'm thinking about purchasing some marshmallows for my next party.

The Sugar Diva Straws

Posted by

I recently came across these straws from The Sugar Diva, a unique party goods company, and thought they were just too fun not to share!

Each of The Sugar Diva’s products is entirely handmade, and they’ve got such a great collection of party supplies, all with an old-fashioned, soda shop feel. These colorful straws, in particular, are sure to add a splash of vintage whimsy to your next party.

Check out  their website and see for yourself what they have to offer!
