My guest on this week's radio show will be Christophe Pourny, furniture maker and restoration specialist. Chirstophe appeared on The Martha Show earlier this year to demonstrate the art of French polish, a beautiful furniture finishing process. If you have any questions for Christophe about restoring, finishing, or cleaning furniture, please leave a comment below. Your question could be answered Wednesday, during the 4 P.M. hour, when I'm live on the air at SiriusXM 110.

And here are the answers to some of the questions you already asked:

Q: I moved into our new house about five months ago, and I am lost with the living room! I am not a fan of the color pink, but my carpet is mauve. To save money for bigger projects I am keeping the carpet for now. My question is what is a good color for the walls? I have great floor to ceiling windows, making great light and my furniture is a simple beige. What are your suggestions? Please help! Read More...

10 Things I'm Obsessed With

Posted by

I always keep a stack of tear-sheets on my desk–a collection of images featuring decor, artwork, and fashion that inspires me. Today, I'd like to share a few of the items that I'm currently coveting (plus one or two that I absolutely can't live without). From my latest comfort food find to a luxurious velvet print that I've been after forever, here are ten things I'm obsessed with, right now.

Plus, you will find even more of my favorite things over at Refinery29 today–I gave the fashion blog a behind-the-scenes look at my apartment and an exclusive interview.

I don't care if wanting a tepee for my very grown up apartment makes me a big kid–so be it. Everyone should have one at some point in their lives.

Upper East Side Thrifting

Posted by

Spanning 59th to 96th Streets from Central Park to the East River lies the Upper East Side, which has long been the home to some of America's most established and privileged families. Given residents' expensive tastes, it is not surprising that the Upper East Side is one of the best places to go thrift shopping. Within this thrift shop mecca there are so many hidden treasures. And the best part? Many stores give a portion of your proceeds to a good cause.

I recently went on a thrift shop crawl, taking pictures of all the shops I visited and of all of the second-hand gems I found. I've included a list of the places I stopped in, below, so you can go on a similar thrift shop hunt if you are in the neighborhood. But I also encourage you to explore the thrift shops where you live. If you look closely, there really are so many great finds to be uncovered.
