On My Bookshelf: In With the Old

Jennifer Boles, the blogger behind The Peak of Chic, has released a beautiful new book that design aficionados will love. "In With the Old: Classic Décor from A to Z" ($20, Potter Style) is an A to Z encyclopedia of classic decorating techniques and finishes from the height of interior design. I particularly loved the entry under "F" for faux bois. Beautifully illustrated with images by Erica George Dines and illustrations by Laura Boles Faw, the book is full of helpful tips for anyone who loves classic style. I even learned a bit: Did you know that designer Nancy Lancaster once covered all the books in her London library with red paper for dramatic impact? I love that idea.
