Yesterday I mentioned my recent visit to Italy, where I stay in the town of Forte dei Marmi each year. I thought it would be nice to share a little bit about the town itself to show you what I love so much about this beautiful place.
Forte dei Marmi is a small seaside town in northern Tuscany that's full of pine trees and beautiful sand beaches. Bagno Costanza, where I always stay with my two godsons, is my ideal retreat. It has the aura of an old fashioned vacation establishment from the turn of the twentieth century, but it is distinctly modern in hospitality. The beach and gardens are lovely, and if I want to escape the resort, the town is perfect for biking, shopping, relaxing, and eating - the food is some of the best I've had in all my travels. There's a fortress in the middle of the town's main square that has been turned into an art museum, and an outdoor market pops up each week featuring tons of leather goods and designer clothing. It is truly the most wonderful place for a vacation - it's not too crowded and there's just enough to do so I don't get bored on the beach every day. Take a look at some of my pictures below - it's impossible not to fall in love with the town's quaint charm.
