I go to the two-day Trade Secrets show in Sharon, Connecticut every year. They showcase rare plants and garden antiques, and it’s a great place to find new inspiration and catch up on my favorite booths from past years. This year, I was excited to see Privet House back at the show, because I’ve always admired their eclectic collection of antiques, home goods, and other beautiful things. The owners, Richard Lambertson and Suzanne Cassano, are both intuitive design thinkers, and they have curated an imaginative mix of things in their shops in both Greenwich and New Preston, Connecticut. Their collection is unexpected, playful, stylish, and creative, and I love browsing through it.
The goods at Privet House run the gamut from rare books to vintage finds, decorative wares, and kitchen and housekeeping brooms and brushes, but I was particularly struck by the collection of boxes and baskets that they brought to Trade Secrets this year.
