Usually I am unable to show pictures of my Christmas tree because we plan on featuring it in the magazine the following year. However, this year I have a free pass.
I'm sure that most of you have probably taken yours down -- but I thought that I would show you how mine went up. For the first time ever, I had a real, live Christmas tree in my new apartment. I had always dreamed of having a blue-spruce. Fortunately my friend Bronson van Wyck inaugurated a new service: delivering pre-lit Christmas trees to your door and installing them. Talk about a dream come true!!
Four uniformed gentleman arrived, and I swear 25 minutes later I had my dream tree installed and waiting to be decorated. Bronson and his team made Christmas that much merrier for me this year.
When the tree arrived, it looked as though there might have been a dead body wrapped in there.
A fresh cut was made just before it was installed.
Plastic is laid out and the tree stand is put in place.

This is part of Bronson's team of expert installers. I was blown away at how quickly they were able to accomplish the task.
I love Bronson's attention to every single detail. The white-glove, pre-lit tree delivery service was like nothing I could have imagined. I wanted one of the Van Wyck monogrammed gray down jackets for myself.
The color scheme for this year's tree was brown, green, silver, and clear glass.
I found this large glass ball encircled with rhinestones as well as the heavy and heavily cut glass ball at Jamali.
Two of my favorite ornaments are these stars, which I bought at John Derian a few years back.

I grew up on a farm, and part of it was a Xmas tree farm. (we always donated the tree for our little town AND my school's tree) My favorite tree has always been the blue spruce. Now I live in CA and have yet to find one here. Your tree was stunning! Very inspiring--thank you for sharing.
