Our office is bursting with creative people and, as you might expect, we go all out for Halloween. My friends and coworkers Zaki and Karissa planned their colorful pop-culture costumes weeks in advance and worked nights and weekends to make sure everything was ready for their debut.
Recognize them? They hand-painted these costumes inspired by the music video for Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know," featuring Kimbra. They both donned wigs to make sure the looks were just right.
The verdict? "It was a hit! We were shocked at how many people recognized us on the street, and delighted every time a stranger sang lyrics at us as we passed," Zaki says. Unfourtunately they couldn't show off their costumes at the office because of Hurricane Sandy, but I didn't want you to miss out on seeing them.
