Last week I went to the unveiling of the new Gilt Home Collection designed by one of my favorite people: Gilt Home Creative Director and former Domino Editor-At-Large Tom Delavan. Designed with the influence of his favorite vintage pieces, Tom's treasures are the perfect pairing of traditional and chic design. The sale goes through tomorrow and 20 percent of the proceeds from each item go to Habitat for Humanity for relief efforts for victims of Sandy. I wanted to point out a few of the outstanding pieces, such as the Alex Sofa and Alex Chair (pictured above).
The Xavier bench, above, comes in a palette of chic neutrals and would a tailored touch to any room.

The Soren Chair is perfect for anyone who gravitates toward midcentury style but cares about modern comfort, too.

And when Tom uses color, it's just as tasteful as the more muted pieces. Case in point: the Lulu Hand-Woven Flatweave (above), a lively tribal-inspired pattern.
The sale wraps up Wednesday, so get your favorites before it's too late! There are plenty more pieces.
