I have long admired Charlotte Moss for her impeccable taste as well as her ability to make a room breathtakingly beautiful yet functional. I loved flipping through her latest book, "Charlotte Moss Decorates," as she takes us through her creative process. She includes her collages and inspiration sketches, and also uses the book to tackle design challenges ranging from optimizing a small space to a poorly lit room. Featuring flowers and fragrances to use as finishing touches, Charlotte lets no question go unanswered.

One of my favorite Charlotte Moss mantras is "Trust your instincts. Trust your eye. Trust yourself." She adds clever Why Not" pages to the book, where she suggests ways to unconventionally accent a room (such as displaying a favorite photograph on an easel -- so smart!). With your own natural creativity, you can make a beautiful room. And if you hit any speed bumps, you can always turn to Moss.
