The Clam Bar between Amagansett and Montauk in Long Island is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. It's not fancy -- but good luck finding a more delicious lunch anywhere.
I have a ritual for every meal there. It starts with five ears of sweet corn with butter and a corona and lime. I then move on to a lobster roll and then an order of fried clams with tartar sauce and fries with cole slaw. If I'm really hungry, I will get an additional order of a bucket of steamers. It's hard to believe, especially if you've ever seen me, but this is really what I eat!
Looking at the pictures again is already making me hungry ...
Proof that sometimes simplicity says it all.
Doesn't matter who you are -- everyone must follow the rules!
The cheerful umbrellas and great music just add to the whole experience.
There's no point even trying to eat light at the Clam Bar.

Kevin, somehow I cannot imagine you eating all that food in one sitting. And, many of our Rhode Island clam shacks are calling your name, you need to put the Ocean State on your fall itinerary!
