While we were in Japan we visited Tsukiji Market, a large wholesale market for fish, fruits, and vegetables in central Tokyo. It is best known as one of the world's largest fish markets, handling over 2,000 tons of seafood per day. Take a look at some of the pictures I snapped while Martha and I were there.
Our first glimpse at the market.
These giant blocks of ice are used to chill the fish.
Fresh wasabi.
These are the biggest mollusks I've ever seen in my entire life!
Here's a shot of the many stalls of the market.
Nothing goes to waste!
Here, Martha and I are enjoying a sushi breakfast. Something you have to do at the market.

Great pictures from the market. I went last year and ended up easting sushi at 6AM! They also had some great noddle stalls and wholesale stops.
