Last week I started gearing up for summer with a search for the perfect beach towel (take a look at the round-up for my favorite finds). But what's a beach towel without a great tote to carry it in? Here's an easy rainy-day project that I completed myself recently. Personalizing a plain canvas tote couldn't be simpler.
I just ironed on my initials for an instant monogrammed beach bag. What do you think?
The tote I embellished is the Hunter's Tote Bag, Zip-Top from L.L.Bean and you can find similar iron-on letters at createforless.com—a great source. Check back tomorrow for a round-up of my beach totes.

It's so you! Can't wait to see your "roundup". And by the way, I just got my latest MSL issue & your article was really informative. Such an easy, stylish thing to do but still keeping it modern and minimalist (my favorite word!).

Your tote looks great - what kind of towel? Striped? Thanks for the link to the letters. I think my sister would like her tote bag monogrammed. She's always putting her initials on things - probably so I won't take her stuff after I lose mine. haha Enjoy the beach when you go@
