Daniel Porthault began his business at the turn of the 20th century by opening a small lingerie shop in Paris. In the roaring 20's his wife convinced him to venture into the world of home couture. Porthault soon became known for its artful mix of prints and embroideries. In the 1960's Porthault opened their first boutique in NYC on 57th Street. I have been a fan for as long as I can remember. Here are a few of their signature designs.
