Book Friday: American Food

If you haven't had a chance to check out Martha’s American Food: A Celebration of Our Nation’s Most Treasured Dishes, from Coast to Coast—which is on sale now—I'm giving you a sneak peek with today's post. When I flipped through my copy, I was drawn to the desserts rather than a particular region's food. I have a legendary sweet tooth. The coconut cake, Boston cream pie, hermit bars, whoopie pies, and Tennessee-style marshmallow cookies are the recipes I want to try first!

  • I am and have been for awhile, a Martha Stewart fan! Next to the Joy of Cooking, she is my source for recipes....always! I hope to interest Martha and her team in Leesburg, Va after her book siging. I believe she could have a very strong market here. Much like New England, she could find a home here, from historic downtowns, to rolling hills and farms to intimate restaurants - she would love it, in Leesburg, Virginia.
