As Easter approaches, I thought I'd share my favorite candy with you. It’s a classic… Marshmallow Peeps! It’s estimated that Americans eat an average of 700 million peeps during Easter season alone. Crazy, right? The treats were developed by Sam Born, who moved to the U.S. from France in 1910 and shortly after began a sweets company in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania called “Just Born.” In the 50s, Just Born acquired a marshmallow molds line and were finally able to mass-produce their chicks and bunnies. Nowadays, the sugary treats come in a ton of fun colors, shapes, and sizes. Take a look at some of the fantastic peep products below, and have a sweet day!

Thanks for mentioning our local favorite. Here in my hometown (Bethlehem, PA) where the maker of Peeps is headquartered, the local grocery store even makes a Peeps latte this time of year. Nothing like seeing a yellow chick swimming in your morning coffee to tell you that Easter is coming!

See's Jelly Bellies and apricot eggs. They do not make the apricot eggs anymore but they still make the Jelly Bellies. Happy Easter and Passover to all!
