Remember a few months ago when I shared  my visit to Furnish Green with you? Well I didn't leave there empty handed. I fell in love with a roll front linen chest that I knew I could make over.  See below!

I will admit I have not lined the shelves yet or created the labels that will identify the drawers. Spaces for labels are conveniently designed into the drawer fronts.

Ta-da! The finished piece with its new ebonized finish. This was the perfect place for it, in between the kitchen and living room. I love it and it makes getting to my linens so much easier. P.S. notice the easy glides on the bottom - crucial for every piece of furniture in the house.

  • What a fantastic piece. The ebonized finish really enhances it, too. Great choice, Kevin. Thanks so much for sharing. You've inspired me to put several black pieces in my own modern apartment and I'm thrilled with how it looks.

Where do you keep the rest of it? Do you keep an inventory sheet with your linen so you know what is being cleaned or repaired?

  • Your workrooms must be a wonderful resource!

  • Beautiful job Kevin. What will you line the drawers with? I was thinking of lining my linen drawer with cork? Do you think it will discolor the clothes?

  • Lovely! Those label insets are fabulous, too.
