Baskets are easy to paint, so you can easily add stripes or change their color to match your decor. I love doing this with inexpensive baskets.

I always love to give giant baskets for Easter filled with candy or flowers to friends and family.  I've been thinking about what I'm going to do this year and it got me thinking about baskets and different ways of using and displaying them at home.  Baskets come in so many shapes, sizes and materials and are both beautiful and functional.  I looked back in the archives of Living and online to find some inspiring images on displaying and using baskets.  Here are a few of my favorites.

  • I love baskets! I don't have one in a weave that is easily painted as in picture #6 so I've just decided I will put stripes on some of my vases that need sprucing up. I'll use Martha's Craft Paint. Yay, weekend project and thanks for the inspiration!
