I always keep a stack of tear-sheets on my desk–a collection of images featuring decor, artwork, and fashion that inspires me. Today, I'd like to share a few of the items that I'm currently coveting (plus one or two that I absolutely can't live without). From my latest comfort food find to a luxurious velvet print that I've been after forever, here are ten things I'm obsessed with, right now.
Plus, you will find even more of my favorite things over at Refinery29 today–I gave the fashion blog a behind-the-scenes look at my apartment and an exclusive interview.
1 The leopard print on the chair in the foreground is velvet fabric by Clarence House. I have always been fond of this classic print, and was excited to flip through a new book called "Clarence House: The Art of the Textile." (image via New York Magazine)
2 Muriel Brandolini's beaded mechanic sling chair is simply amazing (barneys.com). I can't wait to dive into her new book–The World of Muriel Brandolini: Interiors. I'm excited to share my favorite pages with you for an upcoming Book Friday.
3 The ultimate comfort food–hot dogs from Westville in NYC's West Village (westvillenyc.com). This is what I crave when I'm ordering in.
4 Elliott Puckette is one of my favorite artists. You can currently see more of her work at the Paul Kasmin Gallery (paulkasmingallery.com).
5 I asked Martha for a camel for my 40th birthday–I’m still waiting, but this wooden specimen on auction at Sotheby's would make a nice addition to my apartment (sothebys.com)
6 I don't care if wanting a tepee for my very grown up apartment makes me a big kid–so be it. Everyone should have one at some point in their lives.
7 These air-tight, leak-free stainless steel containers (onyxcontainers.com) were recommended to me by Alexis Stewart, so I know they must be great. I love that they are eco-friendly, too.
