Don't have enough towel bars in your bathroom? Mount additional ones to the back of a solid core door.
Space above a door or window often goes to waste. Mount a shelf above it and store extra toiletries in the bathroom or seldom used equipment or supplies in the kitchen.
Narrow shelving installed along a stairway, like one leading to the basement, is perfect for storing cleaning products, trash bags, or other non-perishable goods.
A flip top storage bench in an entryway or mudroom is the perfect place for storing pet food and supplies plus it give you a place to sit when putting on and taking off shoes.
I love the baskets and towel bar mounted to the cabinet doors under my sink. They keep everything neat and concealed and within easy reach.
I did the same on the doors to my laundry closet. An assortment of hooks keeps cleaning tools organized.
This is another storage trick I love. Utilize the wasted space behind a cabinet toe kick by building in drawers. Bob Tobin, my contractor, from BC Interiors, Ltd., built this one in my kitchen for a small step stool.
Underbed storage boxes are a great idea. These were made from old dresser drawers. Just add a set of four casters to each drawer, fill them up and then slide them under the bed.
You can also build custom sized boxes and attach casters, drawer pulls and some fabric using a snap kit, to create underbed drawers with dust covers.
Shelf brackets mounted to the tops of shelves in clothes or linen closets make perfect dividers for keeping stacks straight.
