Easter is one of my favorite holidays and I love creating stunning Easter baskets both for my own enjoyment and to give to friends.
The festive baskets not only make terrific gifts, but they can also transform into beautiful centerpieces for Easter dinners, accent a sideboard or console table and make wonderful planters for spring blooms.
Easter arrangements don't have to be limited to the neon-colored plastic baskets of our youth. There are so many beautiful and modern interpretations for the Easter basket.
Here are some of my favorites.
1 Hannah Milman created this clover basket for Easter a while back. I love the way it turned out. (marthastewart.com)
2 Sometimes the simplest containers make delightful Easter baskets. These are made from berry containers. (Martha Stewart Living, April 2000)
3 Combine an intricate basket weave and pale African violets and you have a gorgeous Easter basket. (marthastewart.com)
4 This basket looks like it was planted by Mother Nature. I love the tree branch basket and moss filling. (marthastewart.com)
5 Make someone feel really special this Easter by creating a custom gift basket. This color coordinated gardener's basket is lovely. (Martha Stewart Living, April 2000)
6 Here is another beautiful gift idea. This basket has a relaxing spa theme. (Martha Stewart Living, April 2000)
7 Plant flowers, herbs, or grasses in a basket to create a long-lasting gift. (Martha Stewart Living, April 2000)
8 This basket would be ideal for a chocolate lover. These browns are so rich and they offset the bright flower well. (marthastewart.com)
9 A simple way to create a memorable centerpiece for your Easter table is to arrange flowers in a basket instead of a vase and I love that the tulips look like easter eggs. (marthastewart.com)
10 A monochromatic basket is a great accent in a very modern and contemporary home. (Martha Stewart Living)
One of the keys to making a beautiful arrangement is having the right basket. Here are some that stand out among the rest.
1 This is a contemporary take on the traditional Easter basket. (Green Wire Basket, Crate and Barrel)
2 I really enjoy the rustic flare this could add to an arrangement. (Shallow Bushel Treated Plant Basket, Texas Basket Company)

Beautiful baskets Kevin! It would be great to receive any of them but I especially like #5, the garden one. I don't remember ever receiving a basket but I always got a chocolate bunny & a large cream-filled egg. I don't see the eggs much anymore. I'll have to look into that.

Centerpieces are my favorite part of an event! I think nothing is more special and important to having a great time!
