Introducing Martha Stewart Living Magazine for iPad!

Posted by Kevin Sharkey

I am so thrilled I can finally reveal an amazing new issue of Living that we have been working on for some time here...

The premier digital issue of Martha Stewart Living for iPad is on sale today.

You can download entire issue of brand-new content you won’t find in print or anywhere else. Created and designed especially for the iPad with astonishing animation and interactivity, as well as all the original, inspiring, authoritative information, recipes, and how-tos that you’ve come to know and love from Living , this special edition is a whole new way to experience the magazine.

The magazine features (among many other things):

  • A panoramic 180-degree tour of Martha’s peony garden, and video of how she (and I ) make her spectacular arrangements.
  • Hunt and peck through our roundup of 10 vintage treasures (from textiles to typewriters, pop kitchenware to pom-pom animals), worth collecting now.
  • Get inspired for your next celebration…with bubbles! Fizzy drinks and floating decorations plus sweet and savory treats for an effervescent atmosphere—perfect for New Year’s

Though I am especially excited about one of the stories...Project Decorate which I worked on with Decorating Editor Rebecca Robertson.

We had one room, one week, and one budget to create a space that reflects our personal style. To find out more (including our tips for achieving high style for less, an item-by-item buying guide, and a behind-the-scenes video) , you'll have to download the issue.

To give you a sneak peak, Rebecca (you'll be hearing from her tomorrow) and I wanted to share some behind-the-scenes pictures and video that didn't make the final cut.

While the only common element in the room was a sofa we agreed upon, everything else was entirely up to us. We headed out to scour the city for the rest of the room's components.

Here's a tiny bit of my whirlwind shopping trip

See how the final spaces turned out and vote for your favorite room on Martha Stewart Living Magazine for iPad.

And don't forget to come back tomorrow to see Rebecca's take on Project Decorate.

  • I am blown away by the digital magazine! You guys have really outdone yourselves. Bravo!

  • This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. Youve got a design here thats not too flashy, but makes a statement as big as what youre saying. Great job, indeed.
