6 I like to make espresso in the morning and Breville's Die-Cast Programmable Espresso Machine (www.brevilleusa.com) lets me custom program my shot just the way I like it.
7 Another classic, the KitchenAid Artisan Tilt-Head Stand Mixer (www.kitchenaid.com). I chose the silver metallic finish for my kitchen but there are 25 other great colors.
8 Breville also makes this Smart Oven (www.brevilleusa.com). I chose a toaster oven over a traditional toaster because I like to toast bagels and bake small batches of cookies. This oven does that and so much more.

10 Alexis gave me a print out of the Sanyo 5-Cup Micom Rice Cooker and Steamer (www.us.sanyo.com) and said this was the rice cooker to have. Now I have it.

12 Although it's not a must have, the Tradional Waffle Iron from Cuisinart (www.cuisinart.com) does make weekend mornings better. I smell waffles.
I am so happy with all of the new appliances in my kitchen. I don’t know how I managed without them for so long. They truly make my life a little easier each day. When setting up my kitchen with Martha, she recommended these basic small appliances for me. She thought I would need a food processor, blender, coffee/spice grinder, coffeemaker, stand mixer, toaster/toaster oven and microwave. Alexis, Martha’s daughter, recommended a rice cooker and I always wanted to try out a hand blender and waffle iron, so I added them to my collection. What I really love about my new appliances is that they not only work incredibly well but they make my kitchen look fantastic too!

Suggestion for you: Add the Breville Juicer machine. (I love your manual orange juicer, by the way). The Breville machine makes such great smoothies.
