One of my favorite pastimes is browsing through the online antique marketplace, 1st Dibs. I always encounter several moments of inspiration just from checking out their beautiful and comprehensive inventory -- I have also been known to buy an item (or two).
1 Here's a lattice back settee from Stephen Miller Seigel that I absolutely love. It is such a strong, graphic piece that would go well with the modern style of my apartment.
One particular vendor on their site that I've bookmarked is Stephen Miller Siegel, an architecture and design firm on Manhattan's Upper East Side. (www.stephenmillersiegelarchitects.1stdibs.com). They have antiques, vintage pieces and originals that range from a Mies bench to a lattice back settee and chair. Also, he can create a wide range of custom pillows (a secret must-have source). I took a minute to peruse their site again and found some items that would look great in my apartment - take a look:
1 I love the classic shape of this studded club chair - perfect for the library. Not sure if I would keep the leather upholstery, however.
4 A three tier ebonized bookcase would look great in my dining area - but I may go with a console instead.
5 This glass tubular floor lamp would look great in my library, though I might opt for a different lampshade.
6 I always love pairs, which is why I fell in love with these milk glass lamps. I would put them on either side of my sofa.
8 Nesting tables are so useful and functional for small spaces, such as apartments. Pull them all out for entertaining, then push them back together to save space.

Hi Kevin, I love this website it is a real inspiration. I was introduced to antique furniture and antique accessories when I was a child. My mom is a great antique collector. I love antiques!
I like the pieces that you chose to put in your apt, I agree with you to have a console instead of the ebonized bookcase, photo # 3 are beautiful pairs, the nesting tables are very practical and the bronze sconce is so beautiful. can't wait to see the final project. Bonne chance!
